To reintroduce the tenacious trio to the next generation of fans, we built an online platform where fans old and new could express themselves through creativity and personalization.

Here They Come Just In Time

Fans have been dying to join the Powerpuff Girls’ squad for years, so an avatar creator was an obvious choice. But how could we make a bigger splash than the others? We had nostalgia on
our side, but above all we needed to be sure everyone had a chance to represent themselves.

Beyond the pink, blue, and green

Our number one priority was inclusivity. We included not just a variety of skin tones, but hair styles and textures to represent a wide range of ethnicities. And no choices were segregated behind a gender selector; we let the avatars speak for themselves.

Powerpuff Yourself launched globally with over 500 unique assets, resulting in over 178 quadrillion different custom combinations. But it wasn’t about the
number of the assets, what made it important
is what you could do with them.
